IAKA SUMMER CAMP, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN EUROPEAN UNION

The international summer camp of Ashiharakyokai (IAKA) will take place from the 19th until the 21th of July 2019, in the recreation center “Vecupenieki” (25 km from the city of Riga, Latvia). “This is the first time we have such event in the territory of the European Union. All karate styles and organisations are most welcome to participate”, said So-Shihan Yuri Egorov (click here). All registrations and payments must be received and processed before 25th of June 2019. The total cost of the camp is 160 Euros, including: accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), training sessions, delivery to camp and back to Riga.

I’ve collaborated until now with five international organizations: NIKO (New International Karate Organization), AIKO (Ashihara International Karate Organization), AKI (Ashihara Karate International), TSU (Tsu Shin Gen International Budo Association), and IAKA (International Association of Karate Ashiharakyokai). From the management point of view, the first four have a leader (namely “Kancho”, “Shihan”, “Kaicho” or “Soke”), and a technical committee decides on the latter. But which form of organization is better?

Până în prezent, colaborările mele editoriale au avut ca protagoniste cinci structuri internaționale: NIKO (New International Karate Organization), AIKO (Ashihara International Karate Organisation), AKI (Ashihara Karate International), TSG (Tsu Shin Gen International Budo Association) și IAKA (International Association of Karate Ashiharakyokai). Din punct de vedere al managementului, primele patru sunt conduse de un lider (având titulatura de „kancho”, „shihan”, „kaicho” sau „soke”), iar un comitet tehnic ia deciziile în cazul ultimei. Dar care formă de organizare este mai bună?

VSEVOLOD LEBEDEV: IAKA IS ABOUT PEOPLE COLLABORATION AND FINDING CONSENSUS

Vsevolod Lebedev is the International Association of Karate Ashiharakyokai (IAKA) organization Branch Chief in Latvia. He started practicing karate in 2008, being an active athlete until 2016. During this time he was member of NIKO and Josui-Karate organizations. He participated five times (2011-2015) in Sabaki Challenge Spirit international championship (Denmark). Also, he was the winner of Eurasian and European competitions (Turkey and Latvia) and of many Kyokushin, Ashihara-Karate and Josui-Karate local tournaments. In 2010, he opened his own dojo, where he’s working as a coach with almost 50 sportsmen.

VSEVOLOD LEBEDEV: ÎN IAKA ESTE VORBA DESPRE COLABORARE ŞI CONSENS ÎNTRE OAMENI

Vsevolod Lebedev este „branch” pentru Letonia în cadrul organizaţiei International Association of Karate Ashiharakyokai (IAKA). A început să practice karate în anul 2008, încheindu-şi cariera de sportiv în 2016. În perioada aceasta a fost membru NIKO (New International Karate Organization) şi Josui-Karate. A participat de cinci ori (în perioada 2011-2015) la campionatul internaţional Sabaki Challenge Spirit (din Danemarca). De asemenea, a câştigat competiţii europene şi euro-asiatice (din Letonia şi Turcia) şi numeroase concursuri locale de Kyokushin, Ashihara-Karate şi Josui-Karate. În 2010, şi-a deschis propriul „dojo”, având în componenţă în prezent aproximativ 50 de sportivi.
